Join our Port Coquitlam recycling drive this Earth Month and support local community programs!
As part of Earth Month 2026, HSR Services is hosting our first community recycling and donation drive in Port Coquitlam. This event is designed to make recycling simple, accessible, and impactful for local residents.
In support of this event, HSR Services will contribute proceeds generated from the materials collected to the Port Coquitlam Community Foundation, helping fund local environmental or youth programs.

Accepted Materials For This Event
We will be accepting the following items free of charge during the event:
- Light bulbs
- Scrap metal
- Non-working small appliances and electronics
All materials will be handled by HSR Services’ team to ensure proper sorting, processing, and recycling.
Please note: Only the materials listed above are included in this event. Items outside of this list may be subject to standard service fees and will not be included in the event program.
How the Event Works
This is a one day community drop off event hosted by HSR Services. Residents can bring accepted materials to the HSR facility, where our team will:
- Receive and sort materials
- Ensure proper recycling and processing
- Manage all logistics on site
This event is designed to provide a convenient recycling option while maintaining a safe and organized experience for participants.
How the Community Contribution is Calculated
Transparency is important to us.
- HSR Services guarantees a minimum contribution of $200
- Additional contributions are calculated based on the total weight of materials collected during the event
- All materials collected during the event are tracked and weighed separately from regular operations
The final contribution amount will be confirmed after materials are processed and will be shared following the event.
Community Participation
You can participate by:
- Dropping off accepted recyclable materials
- Sharing the event within your network
- Supporting local environmental initiatives
A Practical Way to Give Back
This recycling drive provides a simple way for residents to responsibly manage household materials while contributing to local programs. By participating, community members help reduce waste and support initiatives that benefit Port Coquitlam.
